Looks like 2032 will be a combined Italy & Turkey tournament

Good. It's about fucking time we got a major tournament again.

It's a joke given our setup how we aren't awarded them time after time.

France, Germany, Italy, the US (FFS) Mexico, Brazil have or will have soon all hosted the World Cup more than once already. France have had the Euros three fucking times, Germany twice, belgium and Italy twice.

You'd almost think UEFA and FIFA had something against us, or maybe have NOT had something full of cash FROM us....

Not sure the country can afford it, what with having to fund our stadium running costs and all that.

Plus..there'll (still) be train strikes on every match day.

To be honest the last Euros was basically a home tournament.
Which Southgate made a PIGS EAR of

losing a final on penalties was making a pigs ear of it?

Presumably just the one stadium (Aviva) in the Republic, do they have another of sufficient size?

Will all of the home nations, including Eire, qualify as hosts?

Re: UK & Irish Republic to host Euro 2028
Seems UEFA only allow 2 nations to qualify automatically as hosts
Understand all the home nations will enter qualifying and they want to keep the 2 automatic places back for those that dont qualify

UEFA reported to be uncomfortable with qualification FAILURES being catapulted in

Re: UK & Irish Republic to host Euro 2028
Well, it'll be interesting if only England, or England and 1 other make it (could be likely)
How will they then allocate the two places?

Also, UEFA are cunts.

Re: UK & Irish Republic to host Euro 2028
The United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland will host the 2028 European Championship, Uefa has confirmed.

The joint bid ran unopposed after Turkey withdrew to focus on a bid with Italy for Euro 2032, which was also confirmed at a meeting in Switzerland.

Both bids ran unopposed but still needed official approval from Uefa.

The UK and Ireland focused on Euro 2028, with Uefa's approval, after they ended a plan to be Europe's preferred candidate for the 2030 World Cup.

It is understood that Cardiff's Principality Stadium will host the opening match of the 2028 tournament with the final at London's Wembley.

While Italy had only bid for the 2032 tournament, Turkey had initially bid to host both Euro 2028 and 2032.

I was just looking up the 2030 World Cup. That looks like a complete abortion over 3 continents and 6 countries.

UEFA are cunts.

Re: UK & Irish Republic to host Euro 2028
You mean FIFA in relation to the WC ... although UEFA are also cunts

This 2030 abortion is so they can say they have given a World Cup (a bit of one) to S America, Africa (Morocco) & Europe (Spain Portugal) so they can follow the 2022 in Qatar with another bribe fest of Saudi in 2034.
Have told Australia they have about 3 weeks to bid which hopefully they resist as 2034 is obviously bought & paid for.
Another November / December World Cup then

I'm sure collyrob and our other little leprechauns will welcome the Euros being held in the British Isles.

"I was just looking up the 2030 World Cup. That looks like a complete abortion over 3 continents and 6 countries."

It's getting to the stage when fans won't be able to afford to go to these tournaments with vast distances between venues.

now just wait for the councils to stand in the way of an extra hour in the pub.

If the Tories are (still) in power by then, there'll be nothing north of Birmingham.

Re: UK & Irish Republic to host Euro 2028
20 years back or so 'winning' to host this would have been a big deal, but now no one cares. A sign of the times I suppose. Personally, I prefer these tournaments to be in Europe where it seems more of an adventure and you can go to squares in the hot afternoon sun, get pissed up and start chucking white plastic chairs around etc. Germany should be great next year.

Manuel, hate to break it to you but the UK IS in Europe so feel free to lob white plastic chairs around to your heart's content.

No we're not, you forgot about Brexit. Besides, you always have to be more behaved at home. Going to Manchester or Brum in the rain in June is just shit.

Impossible to get tickets for our games at the Tottenham ground so might try for some tickets for there for someone like Spain or France.
I imagine all England's games will be at Wembley
